Wales 2013

Hiking in Snowdonia and along the coast.

When: October 2013

Based in the Park view hotel in Llanberris. Recommended!

Day 1: Climbing mount Snowdon via the Pig trail. A nice start but quickly with fog and rain. On the summit a fierce wind. 6 hour walk.

Day 2: Walking in the forests around Bewts y Coed. Mushroom season! 4 hour walk.

Day 3: Ascending to the fantastic summits of the Glyders. Cross country up through boggy heathland. Great scenery and sunshine. 6 hour walk.

Day 4: Walking from Llanberris to Caernarfon. Heavy rain and wind untill arriving at Caernarfon and its castle. 3.5 hour, 20 km walk.

Day 5: By train to Holyhead, an island off Anglesey island. Great cliffs and sunny weather again.

Day 6: By train to Conwy, and old medieval town with a great castle. On to Liverpool by train and flight back to Amsterdam.
